Bourque/Laraque Tale of Two Cities Raffle
December 10th, 2009 | by wutae3 |The Colorado Avalanche recently retired the great Joe Sakic’s number. His jersey currently hangs in the rafters of the Pepsi Center with two other Hall of Famers, Patrick Roy and Ray Bourque. While the long-time Boston Bruins defenseman only played in Denver for a little more than one season, he stole the hearts of many Avalanche fans. He helped bring a second title to the Rocky Mountains and the image of him raising the Cup will be etched in the minds of all hockey fans for the rest of their lives.

Now Bourque and former Montreal Canadians enforcer Georges Laraque are joining forces to help raise money to support Montreal Based Children’s Charities and Boston Area charities. Their cause is being supported by Celebrities for Charities Foundations.

Raffle tickets for this specific cause will be available from NetRaffle.org, and are $2 each (minimum of five to be purchased). The winner of the raffle will receive the following prize:
* Winner’s choice of Two (2) tickets to the Boston Bruins vs. Montreal Canadians at the TD Garden on Thursday February 4, 2010 or to the Sunday February 7, 2010 Bruins at Canadians game in Montreal.
* The winner will be able to meet both Georges Laraque and Ray Bourque.
* The winner will receive an autographed jersey from both Georges Laraque and Ray Bourque.
* Dinner for two at either Tresca (Ray Bourque’s Restaurant in Boston’s Northend) or Ristorante Da Vinci (Ray Bourque’s favorite restaurant in Montreal).
